What is Polyester Oxford Fabric
Polyester oxford fabric is an important variety of synthetic fiber and the trade name of polyester fiber in China. It is a fiber made from purified terephthalic acid (PTA) or dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) and ethylene glycol (eg) through esterification or transesterification and polycondensation, polyethylene terephthalate (PET), spinning and post-treatment. Polyester is widely used in the manufacture of clothing and industrial products. Polyester has excellent setting properties. The flat, fluffy shape or pleat of polyester yarn or fabric after setting can remain unchanged after repeated washing in use.
Characteristics of polyester oxford fabric:
(1) High strength, impact strength 4 times higher than nylon and 20 times higher than viscose fiber.
(2) Good elasticity. The elasticity is close to wool, and can be almost completely restored when the elongation is 5% ~ 6%. Crease resistance is better than other fibers, that is, the fabric does not wrinkle and has good dimensional stability. The elasticity is 2 ~ 3 times higher than that of nylon.
(3) Good heat resistance.
(4) Good water absorption.
(5) Good wear resistance. Wear resistance is second only to nylon with the best wear resistance, which is better than other natural fibers and synthetic fibers.
(6) Good light resistance. Light resistance is second only to acrylic fiber.
(7) Corrosion resistance. It is resistant to bleaching agents, oxidants, hydrocarbons, ketones, petroleum products and inorganic acids. It is resistant to dilute alkali and is not afraid of mold, but it can be decomposed by hot alkali.
(8) Poor staining. A variable plain or double plain weave that can be woven with various textile fibers. According to the fiber and width, the price ranges from a few yuan to more than ten yuan.
Polyester oxford fabric is named after the University of Oxford in England. It is a traditional combed cotton fabric used as the school uniform fabric for students of the University in the early stage. The most prominent features of traditional Oxford cloth are color warp and white weft, double warp and single weft, 2 / 2 double flat weave, and clear color dot effect on the cloth surface. Now it has become a new type of fabric with various functions and a wide range of uses. At present, there are mainly varieties in the market: lattice, full elastic, nylon, jacquard and so on.
(1) Lattice Oxford cloth: it is specially used for making all kinds of luggage
The warp and weft threads of the fabric are made of polyester fdy150d / 36F. The fabric is woven with plain weave on water jet loom, with warp and weft density of 360x210. After relaxation, alkali content, dyeing, anti-static, coating and other treatments, the grey fabric has the advantages of light texture, soft feel, good waterproof and durability.
(2) Nylon Oxford cloth: it mainly produces flood and rain proof articles
(3) Full elastic Oxford cloth: mainly used for making luggage
The warp and weft yarns of the fabric are made of polyester DTY300D yarn, and the coarse dot change air permeable structure is interwoven on the water jet faucet loom. After the fabric is relaxed, refined, shaped, alkali reduced and soft, the reverse side of the fabric is then treated with rubber plastic polyester layer. It has fine texture, soft luster and good water resistance. The bags made of this product are fashionable pets pursued by beautiful women. Its fabric door width is 150cm.
(4) TIG Oxford cloth: mainly produces all kinds of bags
The warp yarn of the fabric adopts polyester dty400d network yarn, and the weft yarn adopts polyester DTY 400d. It is woven with jacquard texture on water jet (with faucet) loom. The fabric has novel design, unique process, prominent grid patterns on the front and strong three-dimensional sense, which has become the most prominent part of the fabric. At the same time, the coating (PU) process is also adopted on the back to make it more waterproof and better drapability. It is a fashionable material for making all kinds of bags. The fabric door width is 160cm and the gram weight is 320G / m. The listed colors mainly include black, Tibetan green, coffee series and so on.
(5) Weft Oxford cloth: mainly produces all kinds of bags
The fabric is made of polyester fdy68d / 24F for warp and fdy150d / 36F for weft. The weaving process is made of weft lifting strip and water jet weaving (with multi arm faucet). The cloth strip is clear, integrating modernity, artistry and drape. After dyeing, embossing or calendering, grey cloth has the advantages of strong sag and good waterproof. Fabric door width is 160cm.
