Sangam - Go take a boat ride in Sangam and also don't forget to take a dip in it. Nearby the Sangam there is Bade Hanumanji Temple and the majestic Akbar Fort (Akbar's largest fort). The fort remains open till 05:00 PM due to security issues as it's a military base.
Chandrasekhar Azad Park - Stroll around the park which has it's own history where the great revolutionary Chandrasekhar Tiwari/Azad killed himself. Don't forget to visit the Allahabad Museum and Victoria Memorial which is inside the park itself.
Khusro Bagh - This beautiful bagh is near to the Allahabad Junction railway station. It is surrounded by the tomb of Khusro Mirza, the eldest son of Jahangir, the mughal emperor and his wife Nurjahan.
Anand Bhawan and Swaraj Bhawan - If you are an history enthusiast this place is just fit for you. Go and relive the memories of the great Indian Independence Struggle through the belongings of Nehru-Gandhi Family.
All saints Cathedral or Pathar Girjaghar - Situated in the heart of the city, this cathedral is a great example of the Roman architecture.
BEST PLACES TO SHOP AND EAT-
Civil Lines Market - This is a planned market cum residential area of Allahabad, planned by the British. The area has several good Malls and Restaurants. El-chico, dating back to 1960s serves one of the finest cakes, pastries and continental food in whole of the Uttar Pradesh. Then there are several other known eating joints like Eat On, Paradise Bakery, Mc Donald's, Dominos, Pizza Hut, KFC, Cafe Coffee Day, Subway, Haldirams Bikanerwala, Sagar Ratna, Aryans and Dosa Plaza among others.
Katra Market - The Common Man's place, houses various showrooms and shops. Allahabad University is situated here only and also the famous Netram Misthann Bhandar. Try their Kachauri-sabzi and Dahi-Jalebi. They are awesome.
Chowk- Situated in the old city, has umpteen number of wholesale shops selling almost everything. Don't forget Hari Namkeens and Quadir Sweets Shop here.
